Assistant Manager: Papanui

With the continued growth of Pushbikes, an exciting opportunity has opened for an Assistant Manager at our Papanui store.

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the store. You’ll provide vital support to the store manager, overseeing the shop when they’re not present and assisting them when they are. You’ll also be a key point of contact for our loyal customer base, delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, you’ll handle inquiries and orders from our digital channels, incorporating our online presence into the store’s operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Good inventory management skills.
  • Experience working in a retail environment.
  • The ability to supervise, lead, and motivate a team, stepping up when the store manager is unavailable.
  • Initiative to go the extra mile for customers.
  • An understanding of merchandising and store presentation.
  • Insight into the needs and behaviors of retail consumers.
  • A strong sales focus with the ability to achieve results.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the bicycle industry.
  • Proficiency in digital and computer systems.

Papanui location serves as our head office. This is where we manage IT, accounts, and our digital operations.

Part-Time Team Members: Papanui

Are you a passionate cyclist searching for a flexible, part-time role that lets you combine work with your love for bikes? We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic team members to join us as we prepare for the exciting summer season. Whether you’re a university student or someone keen to pick up extra hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fun, supportive environment surrounded by people who share your passion for cycling

What You’ll Do:

  • Work on the sales floor as a key point of contact for our loyal customers.
  • Tackle some bike assembly and light mechanical repairs to keep things exciting.
  • Share your love for cycling with a team that’s just as passionate as you are.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in retail (or a willingness to learn quickly).
  • Great communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • A love for bikes or a solid knowledge of bike gear.
  • Comfortable using digital tools and computers.

Availability Requirements:

  • 6.5 to 22.5 hours per week, with shifts available on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays (you can take one or both!).
    Additional hours available during holidays—perfect for extra cash!
